Catalyst Exhibition

Catalyst we exhibiting at a show and wanted to have an interactive display for their clients to take part in as they visited the stand.

We came up with the concept of a large illustration that would consist of a series of magnetic flaps. Each flap would have the label for the section of drainage it showed, however the large illustration would be blank, requiring the user to match the label to the right section of piping. I drew up the illustration, designed the location of the labels and also glued each magnet onto the smaller flaps so these matched up to the large scale print.

Along side the large game we also produced a A4 flyer with a crossword on. People who participated in either actively were entered into a prize draw.

Catalyst Training Day

This illustration was created for Catalyst for use on a training day.

Paul was doing a demonstration where he wanted to have an interactive element to his talk. The design was printed onto a hard-wearing PVC banner, with flaps cut into it. The audience would then have to point out the likely places leaks would take place on a domestic property. Paul would then lift the flaps to reveal a lay-flat hose leaking water.

Creation 55

Gerflor were launching a new product range under the name Creation 55, they were keen to push this produce through a number of print publications such as RIBA J and Contract Flooring Journal. The concept of the animals was to separate them from the other advertisers who often used a traditional product shot. Each animal face was created using cut-up segments of the flooring range. One of these faces was then replicated from the actual flooring for an exhibition they attended.

Taralay Impression Control

Taralay Impression Control was another new product released by Gerflor, following on from the successful campaign from Creation 55 they wanted to run a similar illustration lead concept. The theme of the famous landmarks and iconic landscapes was to portray that Taralay would have replicated these same stunning and lasting impressions within your building. The campaign was rolled out across print, social media and a monthly email campaign where the scenes were animated.

IPAF Brochures

IPAF produces both an annual report and a global safety report on a yearly basis. After doing a large amount of work for IPAF in 2020 they gave us the opportunity to take over this project from the existing agency. Both documents contain large amounts of information and data and their requirements were for this to be displayed in a clear and informative way whilst not looking too dry. For each document, there was a very strict deadline which also required each brochure to translated across 8 languages. have been designing a producing both documents for 3 consecutive years now.

Unblocktober Board Game

Unblocktober is a monthly campaign running every October to promote awareness and improve the health of our drains, sewers, watercourses and seas. The Pipes and Ladders board game was created as an interactive way to promote this message. The board game was a downloadable pdf that came with instructions on how to assemble and play the game in your own home. All snakes on the game have been swapped with pipes, and if the pipes are avoided you can successfully get from the sewer (square 1) all the way to the sea (square 100) without contaminating the drains.
