EMBERS Ferryman

EMBERS describe themselves as an up-and-coming Birmingham-based blues/desert rock band.

They had asked me to design and illustrate their single “Ferryman” and were keen to have this produced in a traditional medieval style woodcut, with a modern edge.

The final result was a lino cut illustration in two colours featuring the bands and mine interpretation of the Ferryman.

The artwork is featured on Spotify, along with band merchandise which was sold through an Everpress campaign. The original prints were also sold as a limited edition run.

The logo for the band was also created and the Ferryman from the single artwork was also incorporated, the band was keen to use this character as a form of mascot.
